If you like iPhones, I am sure you will be excited in the coming week. On September 9, you can preorder iPhone 14, and I am sure many people worldwide already did. Apple will launch iPhone 14 on September 16 and iPhone 14 Plus on Friday, October 7.
The iPhone models come in five colors, blue, purple, midnight, starlight, and red, and the Pro comes in space black, gold, silver, and purple. I use iPhone 8 now, and I would like to get iPhone 14 in purple color, but should I?
Before you buy iPhone 14, you should ask yourself this question: Should I buy iPhone 14 or apple stock? From the personal finance view, I think you should buy Apple stock instead of iPhone 14. iPhone 14 price start at $799, iPhone 14 Pro $999, and iPhone 14 Pro Max $1,099.
- If you use $1,000 to buy Apple stock now at $157.37, you can have a 10% to 20% return a few years later.
- If you pay $1,000 to buy iPhone 14 now, you will lose 50% to 60% of the value a few years later.
- If you buy an Apple option contract now, you have a chance to have a 50% return in the next few months. The IRS is 43.81now, and it is close to 30; there will be good news for iPhone 14 sales; Apple stock may pull up from here, see chart below:
