Things to Pack on Vacation that Will Save You Time and Money
Change Your Spending Habits
Vacation is fun but it can be costly. Having a vacation budget (what to buy and what to pack) and a good spending habits will help in many ways.
Sometimes I pack with the thought in mind that if I miss anything, I can just buy it at my destination. This helps me to relax in my packing process so that I do not overstress or overpack, especially when flying; however, it doesn’t help with my vacation budget.
Buying at my destination has definitely helped me in a pinch — I had once forgotten sunglasses for my trip to Florida even though it was a requirement to have - but I wondered to myself if there are ways to prepare for a trip without overpacking or overspending my budget when I get to my destination. I’ve thought of 4 Items I won’t leave home without to help save myself time and money while on my trip:
- Search Your Fridge and Pantry for Snacks: Whenever I fly or drive to my destination, I always consider what is already in my fridge and pantry for what to take as snacks on my trip. TSA does not allow liquids to pass through security (over a certain ounce), but they do not typically have a problem with food. If I plan to eat on my travels (who doesn’t?), I always start with what is in my fridge and consider that to bring…
